How do I select my niche?

Deciding what niche your store focuses on is a fundamental step to launching your store.

There are four fundamental guidelines that you need to consider when choosing your niche:

  1. There is at least one primary product that sells for over $3,000

  2. There are over 10 secondary products that would fit in your store that sell for over $1,000

  3. Your primary product has a search demand greater than 20,000 per month

  4. At least 10+ secondary products have a search demand greater than 3,000 per month

What does search demand mean?

Search demand means the number of people who search for a product type in a given month in your target market. e.g. there are 22,000 searches in the US for treadmills every month.

How do I find products to sell in a niche?

Should I still choose a niche if most products require professional installation?

There's no reason not to since you can purchase those services. In fact, it might be a barrier entry to other people considering the same niche.

The niche I'm interested in seems crowded.... should I still choose it?

Don't be scared of competition! As long as the search demand exists, you can be confident that there are enough people looking for these products to buy.
